The Rise & Fall of a Persian Princess
March 15th, 7pm at Peabody Heights Brewery
Chappel Roan, the Midwest Princess and your favorite artist’s favorite artist, meets Vashti, the besmirched Persian queen and feminist idol that begins the Purim story. Purim is set in the city of Shushan, now modern day Iran. We celebrate our Persian/Jewish community and all the heroic ways we resist!
What is this party going to be like?
Costume party (perhaps a sparkly western theme?
Something else fabulous?
with political theater re-telling (loosly) of the story of Purim, klezmer dancing, DJ dance party, and drag performance (brings $)
Who can come?
Anyone who wants to celebrate resistance and fabulosity with your local synagogue.
